
1Youth 2Skills TV Initiative: Commissioner lauds Soludo
The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Dr. Law Mefor have showered praises on the youth friendly Governor of Anambra State Development, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo for putting up the initiative to set up 1Youth 2Skills TV as well as Youth TV studio for the Ministry of Youth Development. The 1Youth 2Skills TV, which was approved as part of the 2024 Action Plan was designed as a platform for information dissemination, youth engagement and skills training.
Dr. Mefor, who was on a visit to the TV Studio, located at the Ministry of Youth Development Complex, behind Government House Awka, also went ahead to commend the Ministry, led by Mr. Patrick Agha Mba for ensuring effective implementation of such an initiative of Mr. Governor for the enhancement of the youth development agenda of the Solution Administration.
The commissioner said that the initiative is in line with Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s vision of Jobs, Jobs and Quality Jobs.
Speaking further, Dr. Mefor stated that Mr. Governor does not believe in the government of palliatives, that will give citizens rice or fish to eat and after a few days, they go back hunger. The commissioner said he believes in the government that will teach you how to catch fish, train you on skills and give you necessary funds for a smooth take off, which is reflected in the 1Youth 2Skills Solution of Prof. Soludo’s Administration.
Dr. Mefor also reiterated the point previously made by the Commissioner for Youth Development on the adoption of 1Youth 2Skills format of Governor of Anambra State by Federal Government and the plans to go beyond 1Youth 2Skills to 1 Youth multiple skills.
The Commissioner, while praising the 1Youth 2Skills TV production crew for quality and professional service delivery, promised that the Ministry of Information will support and promote the initiative, especially to the grassroots.
